Job Description
Join us as an Onsite Laboratory Supervisor at Carmichael Mine, where you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our coal testing laboratory with professionalism and precision. This is your opportunity to take charge, drive quality outcomes, and guide a dedicated team in a key site-based role.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
Assist to the SSE in monitoring and managing compliance to the Qld CMH&S Act and Regs
Reporting Hazards, Inspections & Safe Act Observations
Complete all incident investigations relating to the onsite laboratory to ensure the root causes are identified and where applicable, work practices adjusted accordingly in a timely manner
Achieve effective communication with all internal and external customers
Demonstrate and embrace a work environment free from discrimination where everyone is included and treated with respect
Manage employee and staff leave
Assigned all activities and reporting completed in accordance with the Month End Reporting Timetable
Implement effective document control within department
Ensure that the coal lab maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders – including employees, contractors, customers, suppliers, government agencies, neighbours and the community
Qualifications
RII competencies for light vehicle and laboratory equipment S1,2&3 G2
Previous experience in operating onsite laboratories
Proficient in MS Office, including basic spread sheeting.
Writing and Mathematical/Analytical principles.
Proficient in all aspects of laboratory operations
