Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team as Manufacturing Engineering Manager (f/md) within the Assembly & Test area at our Dahlewitz site near Berlin. This critical leadership role is responsible for supporting both the delivery of the current production programme and the successful introduction of new engine products. The role also plays a key part in driving continuous improvement and innovation across our assembly operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and integrate all Manufacturing Engineering activity within your business area at the Dahlewitz site.
  • Manage the deployment of Manufacturing Engineering processes, standards, guidance, tools, and methods to ensure consistent execution and alignment with global best practices.
  • Drive the implementation of advanced manufacturing processes, methods, and systems that meet the evolving needs of the business across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Rate, and Lead Time (SQCD).
  • Serve as the Technical Authority for your business area or value stream, ensuring engineering excellence and compliance.
  • Support resource planning including load and capacity forecasting, as well as recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Lead and promote the professional development of the Manufacturing Engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical growth, and high performance.

Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes with a strong track record in a production or industrial setting.
  • Sound understanding of assembly and manufacturing operations relevant to high-precision engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with key Manufacturing Systems (such as Teamcenter, MES, Process Planning, etc.).
  • Practical experience in process improvement and project management methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean tools.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on collaboration, people development, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
