JR6129944 Gearbox Designer (f/m/d)

Rolls-Royce Deutschland offers an exciting opportunity for the position of JR6129944 Gearbox Designer (f/m/d) at our site in Dahlewitz near Berlin.

Design Engineer working in our Gearbox group within the Transmissions Department. You will be responsible for the creation of design definitions that meet sub-system requirements and product attributes.

Manufacturing knowledge of gearbox chamber casings and housings is a plus.

Key Accountabilities:

• Creation and presentation of design concepts and solutions, production drawings (2D and 3D-Model-Based-Defintion) assembly instructions and complete dimensional tolerance stacks.
• Orchestrate Technical Review/Design Reviews and communicate solutions to the project/customer.
• Application of Robust design including DfM (Design for Manufacturing) to ensure a production ready solution.
• Requirements management and proof of the fulfilment of requirements.
• Cooperation with specialists (e.g. analysis, oil system, validation and others) to improve components, assemblies and systems in terms of efficiency, reliability and robustness.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Aerospace, Technology or equivalent education.
• Experience of working in cross-functional teams.
• Design Experience (ideally on housings, casings or structures, seals or Castings)
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
