Job Title: Wash/ Chemical Process Operator

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Chemical Process Operator to join our assembly team in Bristol.
In this role, you will be part of the team supporting the Wash/Clean capability for our Defence Aerospace Assembly Facility. You will chemically wash and clean all parts/hardware coming into the area. The hardware will then either pass onto the NDT lines or return to build lines depending upon requirements. You will work with our Defence products across OE, MRO, and Development. There are also frequent support requirements to Naval Marine, and other product areas at Rolls-Royce.
You will go through a 6-months training, which will consist of on the job working with the Chemical SME team and formal training courses relating to managing the chemical lines including maintaining compliance to the Rolls-Royce Quality Management System.

What you will be doing
You will chemically wash and clean all parts coming into the area. Hardware will either then pass onto the NDT lines or return to build lines depending upon requirements. You will also:
Be responsible for general daily activities associated with HS&E (health, safety and environment) for the chemical lines.
Process hardware using appropriate plant equipment and techniques.
The wash area is the first line of hardware induction into the area and therefore you will be expected to be assisting management of the in-pool and work-in-progress pool, including ensuring full compliance with FOD & Segregation.
Work to the approved processes, procedures, and specifications.
Book time against each task in SAP and SFDC2

Preferably, you have experience working in a similar role. Previous experience or knowledge of chemicals and wash techniques is desirable, but a full training will be provided.

Able to work at pace whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Flexible to cover a variety of jobs within the team with often changing priorities.
Able to work shifts after the 6-months training is completed.
