Position Summary


Is part of the global team of export control professionals, defining and implementing the plans and priorities for their area including through risk identification and mitigation. Provides specialist knowledge, guidance and advice to (the Businesses, Head Office, GBS and Innovation Hub) on export control issues relating to strategic and tactical requirements. Actively supports the business and global team in the development and implementation of export control policies and processes to drive Group wide compliance. Solves complex export control problems and influences how others solve these problems, driving process improvement throughout their area.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead a team of Export Control Managers. Continue to develop in-depth knowledge in Export Control to lead this specialist team, driving business and technical process improvement.
  • Define and implement plans and priorities, including through risk identification and mitigation.
  • Be part of a global team which provides specialist knowledge, guidance and advice to the organisation on export control issues relating to its strategic and tactical requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to influence and enhance the internal compliance programme, working with the Heads of Export Control Compliance and the Director, Strategic Export Control.
  • Liaise with other export control personnel to develop an understanding of the impact of export regulations on the business of the company.
  • Develop and provides general and organisation-specific training and communication on export control.
  • Lead or participate in Integrated Project Teams across all functions and all geographical locations addressing export control issues.

Position Qualifications:

Specialist expert knowledge of relevant export regulations.
Ability to analyse complex business situations and to advise on the impact of export control regulations.
Ability to develop and implement strategic and tactical processes for export control compliance.
