Job Description
What will you be doing?
We’re looking for an experienced Safety Case Author to play a key role in developing safety, environmental, and security documentation for a major nuclear new build programme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s most innovative energy projects and support the safe design and delivery of next-generation technology.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Lead the production of high-level safety case documentation and supporting materials.
Manage the development and submission of assigned deliverables through internal governance and review processes.
Support responses to regulatory queries and observations, ensuring clarity and compliance throughout.
Collaborate with engineering, safety, and regulatory teams to deliver well-structured and robust safety arguments.
Contribute to planning and strategy activities, helping shape the ongoing development of safety case route maps.

We’re seeking a motivated individual with proven experience in authoring safety case documentation within the nuclear sector. You’ll be confident in building strong arguments supported by evidence and able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.

Qualifications
Experience, skills and qualifications required:
5+ years’ experience working in nuclear safety case development.
Demonstrated experience authoring complex safety documentation and technical reports.
Strong understanding of safety case structures, including claims, arguments, and evidence.
Knowledge of environmental, security, and safeguards cases is desirable.
Effective communicator with the ability to engage cross-discipline teams and regulators.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Degree Bsc or Msc in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
