TITLE: Quality Improvement Engineer
EMPLOYER: Rolls-Royce Corporation
DUTIES: Design and develop audit standards for the engineering, manufacture and supply of commercial aerospace parts according to FAA and EASA requirements for development and production of aerospace gas turbine engines. Responsible for auditing supplier processes, quality of parts, safety measures for production and assembly of parts to meet health, safety and environment regulations.
LOCATION: Indianapolis, IN (Full-time telework permitted)
REQUIREMENTS: Masterβs degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field and 2 years in any job title involving experience with quality engineering focusing on the global supply of commercial aero engine parts and systems according to FAA and EASA standards. Alternatively, employer will accept Bachelorβs degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field and 5 years in any job title involving experience with quality engineering focusing on the global supply of commercial aero engine parts and systems according to FAA and EASA standards. Prior experience must include: Working as an Auditor to design, develop, and implement quality engineering audits of suppliers producing commercial aero engine components according to AS 9100, AS 13100, FAA, and EASA standards; Conducting audits of supplier processes and procedures for supply of commercial aero engine parts to ensure adherence with AS 9100, AS 13100, FAA, and EASA standards and ISO 14001 requirements; Working with Power BI; Working with Businessmap or Kanbanize; Leading 8D investigations internally and supervising supplier investigations; Facilitating value stream workshop and process mapping to improve processes and methodologies; Verifying that supplier management systems are integrated and comply with company requirements via Engineering Supplier Integration Document (ESID); Analyzing and enforcing changes to supplier quality and manufacturing processes to ensure Health and Safety Environment (βHSEβ) regulations at the local and federal levels and end customer engineering specifications are met; and Client facing experience with suppliers to facilitate development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of audit standards, including developing specific supplier performance criteria and self-assessment tools to improve performance.
Full-time telework permitted. Up to 75% domestic and international travel required to perform quality audits at supplier locations.
SALARY: $113,360 per year
