As QEC Manager, you will manage a team of approximately 5 direct reports who are working to implement scalable fault-tolerant quantum computing using neutral atom qubits. Day-to-day responsibilities range from project management, infrastructure development, budgeting decisions as well as technical mentoring and individual contributions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Hire, develop, and manage a team of high-performing quantum engineers
  • Contribute 30-50% of your time towards hands-on QEC projects
  • Maintain ongoing communication with technical managers, project leaders, and peers to ensure work is allocated effectively and efficiently
  • Help to provide logistical support to create the infrastructure for the team to accomplish their goals.


Experience & Education
  • PhD in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 years industry experience

  • Temperamentally suited to work at a fast-growing, early stage startup: self-motivated, humble, driven, collaborative, and has a high tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team of experimental physicists, hardware, and software engineers.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a changing work environment
  • Ability and passion for hiring the best Quantum Engineers from academia and industry
  • Familiarity with Python and Git software version control

The base salary range for this position is between $175,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we offer a bonus plan and incentive stock options for equity in the company.
