Working location: Derby

Do you want to have an impact on the future of UK defence?

Do you enjoy working with teams to define and control requirements sets for complex programmes – maintaining a relentless focus on the outcomes to be achieved? Do you have an interest in exploring, mapping and quantifying risks to the delivery of these outcomes? And from this, working across boundaries to mobilise actions that mitigate risks or realise opportunities?

Does your curiosity push you to understand ‘what’ really matters and ‘how’ we do what we do? Seeking out insights to drive improvements, from the incremental to the more radical?

If so, now is the time to join Rolls-Royce Submarines. Join us as Project Controller – Requirements & Risk Management (Project Controls Professional), where you will play a leading role in controlling the requirements, dependencies, assumptions, risks, exclusions and opportunities within a complex and multifaceted programme of work.

In role, you will work closely with the project delivery teams to define, catalogue and control this information – in accordance with business standards. You will also be the local lead on driving these standards through all levels of the programme to build a culture that ensures robust, high quality, actionable data underpins our programme and portfolio reporting.

You will work closely with the Contract & Performance Manager, Project Delivery Managers, Project Leads, Control Account teams and Engineering teams to achieve this – as well as the wider business and supporting functions. In role you will report to the Contract & Performance Manager, working in a team of project controls professionals and alongside our project delivery teams to diagnose challenges and define management actions to enable programme success.
