A leading nuclear engineering company is looking for a principal mechanical engineer to join the team on a long term contract basis for some of their most exciting projects in the nuclear space.

- Location - Cumbria
- Contract Length - 12 Months
- Pay Rates - Up To £75 hour Inside IR35
This role will be perfect for a well experienced and knowledgeable principal mechanical engineer who has vast time spent in the highly regulated fields and sectors associated.
Key Competencies:
- Understand concepts and principles, shapes, designs, developments and determines a solution to functional issues
- A full knowledge and understanding of all health and safety matters
- Work as the subject matters expert and mechanical engineering specialist
- Technically manage the scope of engineering to ensure it meets project quality requirements and deadlines
- Ensure that procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities
- Ensure adequate review, verification and approvals are undertaken on all deliverables
- Ensure you are supervising engineers and technical specialists to align with project scope
Essential Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in a relevant field with significant demonstratable experience.
- Chartership (Desired)
- Time spent in managing teams
- Experience covering a wide range tasks across a range complexities.
