Introduction
A vacancy exists for a
Nuclear medicineRadiographer, based at Life Hilton Private Hospital, reporting to the
Nuclear operations manager, Ansu Fourie. The incumbent will be responsible for providing a high-quality service to both the Inpatients and Outpatients. This will include Nuclear Medicine procedures and related administrative duties. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Nuclear medicine Department and multi-disciplinary teams, providing a high-quality service to patients in assigned areas in accordance with professional standards of practice.
Critical Outputs
Schedule patients for Nuclear medicine procedures.
Prepare patients for Nuclear medicine procedures which they are scheduled
Prepare the room and equipment required before commencing radiology procedures
Performs procedures which the incumbent is qualified
Perform hotlbab procedures and preparations for radiopharmaceuticals
Work overtime when required and rotate at other branches when required
Perform administrative tasks related to the business operations
Participate in all staff meetings, briefings and training
Maintain acceptable levels of health and safety, and report all deviation to procedure to Management
Take part in routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures
Take on responsibilities as ARPO
Keep up-to-date with current techniques and developments in Radiographic and imaging procedures and to take part in in-service training as required
Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and with non-radiographic staff, both in the Radiology Department and elsewhere in the hospital
Requirements
Degree in Nuclear Medicine
At least two (2) year experience in nuclear medicine
Be registered with HPCSA
Ability to perform weekend work
Own transport and a valid driver's license is essential
