Job Title: Material Handler

Working Pattern: Onsite, 1st shift

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN & Greenfield, IN

As the Material Handler for Rolls-Royce, you will work with the materials and tooling team supporting the On-Wing Services business Civil Aerospace.

What you will be doing:

  • Maintaining tool inventory control and shipping and receiving of aircraft engine parts and tooling management ensuring that the proper documents and export controls are adhered to
  • Inspect aircraft parts for damage and ensuring the FAA 8130-3 and EASA Form 1 are accurate
  • Inventory management in SAP
  • Work with vendors to get quotes for the purchase and repair of parts and tooling
  • Available for Service Support on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift engine components or tooling up to 30 pounds and 70 pounds with assistance

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED (General Educational Development) with 3+ years of shipping and receiving, aviation related and/or manufacturing logistics experience, OR
  • Associates degree with 2+ years of shipping and receiving, aviation and/or manufacturing logistics experience
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
  • This position is a FAA designated safety-sensitive position. Selected candidate must successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check, a FAA/DOT drug screen that tests for the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and Amphetamines (or metabolites of those drugs), and comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Familiarity with aviation material and tooling
  • Export control experience
  • Hazmat shipping experience
  • Forklift experience
  • SAP experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
