Job Description
Summary:
The I&C Planner will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and preparation of assigned maintenance activities consisting of Instrumentation & Control (I&C), and Support-based tasks at the Nuclear Power Plant. Activities will involve developing detailed Maintenance Items with clearly defined scopes and resource needs (manpower, materials, tools, and equipment). This information will be essential for generating work orders and scheduling activities to maximize operational safety, efficiency, and asset protection.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare Maintenance Items for Instrumentation & Control (I&C) and Support-based maintenance to ensure work is planned and managed for maximum safety, operability, and protection of plant assets, including work performed by Long-Term Maintenance Strategy (LTMS) contractors.
Verify and review the Nuclear Power Plantβs I&C equipment, components, and determinants to ensure accurate selection from the Master Equipment List and design drawings.
Coordinate with Engineering (ENG), Maintenance (MNT), Procurement (PSC), vendors, schedulers, and other relevant stakeholders to optimize understanding and ensure accuracy of Maintenance Items.
Review and construct, as needed, I&C and Support Preventive Maintenance (PM) and other recurring Maintenance Items to ensure configuration control.
Oversee I&C work planners in the development, assembly, and review of Maintenance Items, including PM frequency, to ensure all requirements are met.
Include the required parts and bills of materials for Maintenance Items; develop a Material Master for newly identified materials, as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelorβs degree or diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning at a nuclear power plant.
Strong knowledge of I&C systems, instrumentation standards, and maintenance processes.
Familiarity in maintenance planning tools and enterprise asset management systems.
