Position Summary:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Off-Wing Global Customer Operations Team, based in Derby.
Aftermarket Operations is part of the Civil Aerospace division, providing aftermarket support for our Civil Aerospace customers. Our Off-Wing Operations team is responsible for the execution of aftermarket services and includes accountability for the performance of the external supply chain.
As Induction Planner within Civil Aftermarket Operations, you will play a key role in the overall supplier relationship management, performing vital activities to ensure the business runs smoothly to meet our performance goals. We aspire for our Induction Planners to make a difference in the Customer to Customer (C2C) value stream.
In this role you will indirectly manage high profile external suppliers and Joint Ventures and will directly impact the service levels and profitability of Civil Aerospace through Aftermarket Services. This is a challenging service-focused environment that will give you exposure to issues directly affecting our internal and external suppliers and our relationships with key vendors.
Using standard processes and a production governance system and planning and control best practice, you will be responsible for the supplier relationship, delivery performance, forecasting and planning in the Off-Wing Operations Team. You will drive on time delivery through the application of rigorous planning whilst maintaining executive data and the supporting systems. Working with the customer, supplier, or any internal representatives of them, you will identify, prioritise, mitigate, and resolve delivery issues impacting the induction of Engines through the network. You will support robust load capacity planning within the value stream. You will drive long term improvements in delivery that enhance the competitive performance of Rolls-Royce, its customers, and suppliers.
What you will be doing:
Lead supplier engagement activities to deliver planned induction readiness and slot fill rate of the 13-week operation induction plan across our global network
Own Induction Readiness across the team to deliver a minimum 2-weeks induction readiness, increasing to 4-weeks readiness queue for each Overhaul base to ensure induction plan is achieved both volumetrically and mix aligned (HSV, CR, 1RF etc)
Ensure the priorities of engine inductions are agreed, set and cascaded through Induction Planning team
Lead daily operational governance and co-ordination of all required pre-induction activity including action close out
Removal to Induction (R2I) process ownership
Own stakeholder relationship management within the Overhaul Network Bases, supporting appropriate level governance to ensure delivery performance to the base
Act as first point of escalation for team and/or Overhaul Base escalations within your value stream
Attend daily progress and reporting reviews with VP’s of MRO providing status updates against: induction Plan V's actual inductions achieved V's Baseline induction plan and action status and escalation
Identification and capture of systemic issues due to missed slots, driving and leading issue resolution and improvement plans within Induction Readiness Team to mitigate impact and ensure recovery for performance gaps
Integrated stakeholder management with wider workscoping teams and supporting functions
Ensure MfA compliance for value stream and team
