Join us as a Hazards Engineer / Senior Hazards Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in assessing arising from internal and external hazards for a variety of nuclear clients and contributing to the advancement of low-carbon energy solutions. Your role

  • Lead internal and external hazard assessments and safety case delivery across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Develop and apply innovative solutions to assess hazards such as fire, flooding, seismic, and meteorological hazards.
  • Deliver high-quality technical analysis while balancing attention to detail with broader project objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by presenting clear and effective solutions to complex challenges.
  • Support technical delivery across diverse projects and technologies, including both nuclear new build such as Hinkley Point C / Sizewell C, Small Modular Reactors and Nuclear Fusion projects; as well as generating fleet and defence clients
  • Collaborate with global experts to drive best practices and enhance project outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, strengthening team capability and supporting business growth.

About you

  • You bring strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in safety-critical industries.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, communicate complex ideas clearly, and work collaboratively to support high-performing teams.
  • You are detail-oriented, driven to deliver high-quality outcomes, and confident in tackling complex challenges while contributing innovative ideas and mentoring others.
  • You have experience in fire and consequence modelling using tools such as CFAST or equivalent industry-standard software for other hazards to support safety assessments, engineering analysis, and project delivery.
