Job Description

As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will carry out electrical and electronic design, build, and test activities across UKAEA programmes, working collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to ensure all delivered systems are demonstrably safe through rigorous review and analysis. You will also contribute to the design, specification, procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systemsβ€”including ELV, LV, and HVβ€”across a wide range of UKAEA projects.

Your core responsibilities:

Involvement of HDL and embedded software (C) where appropriate.
Perform fault-finding activities on electronic and electrical systems.
Take part in technical studies including preparation of documentation, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically robust
Gain experience with SPICE simulation modelling, EDA software and the manufacture and test of PCBs

Qualifications

Degree in Science or Engineering from 2025 or '26
Confident with all Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Driven, with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges
Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
