CANADA
THE ROLE:
As part of Denison’s Closed Mines Group, the Environmental Technician is responsible for conducting environmental monitoring and
collecting surface and groundwater samples in accordance with established procedures. Key responsibilities include preparing samples
for shipment to external laboratories, contributing to the completion of technical reports, verifying and entering field data into the
environmental database, and performing long-term care and maintenance activities at various projects, primarily at closed mine sites
in the Elliot Lake area. Additionally, this position entails adjusting, testing, and evaluating the treatment processes that manage water
quality released downstream of decommissioned mine sites, as well as directing flow adjustments.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Using knowledge of environmental procedures, techniques and regulations to complete tasks, the Environmental Technician executes
all responsibilities with adherence to company and contractor health and safety standards, promoting a strong safety culture and
fostering a sense of community. With solid technical and organizational skills, this individual is a proactive self-starter, capable of
working independently as well as collaboratively within a team to carryout various field monitoring activities and reviewing and
analyzing data collected from environmental sampling programs. Additional qualifications and attributes include:
engage in recurring bending or similar activities, hike several kilometers on uneven ground, and work outdoors in varying weather
conditions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
(EQuIS).
• Maintain accurate records and logs for water treatment operations, including flow and water level data.
Environmental Monitoring & Compliance:
• Assist in waste management, spill cleanup, reclamation, and sediment/erosion control.
• Conduct compliance sampling for effluent, water quality (surface, groundwater), air quality, noise levels, and soil/vegetation when
needed.

• Operate and monitor equipment for water treatment plants, adjusting processes as necessary.
• Support environmental inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Execute groundwater sampling and related field tasks, operating equipment like GPS, data loggers, and gas meters.
