Job Description

What will you be doing?

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for producing, reviewing, and updating system documentation for diverse electrical systems. Working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment, you’ll respond to site requests from contractors, perform electrical studies and calculations, and ensure design integrity is maintained through rigorous assessments and documentation.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Assess and respond to site requests related to electrical design, gathering all necessary input data.
Perform technical assessments and calculations (support, plate, cable sizing, equipment installation, network design, earthing and protection).
Ensure all site impacts on design are properly identified and managed (design changes, redlines, open points).
Produce formalised responses and technical documentation to support construction activities.
Coordinate with other disciplines (Layout, HVAC, Piping, Civil, Equipment) t o manage cross-functional impacts.
Liaise with back-office design teams, site contractors, and client representatives to ensure technical consistency and timely issue resolution.
Contribute to the closure of design open points and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Anticipate and escalate open technical issues to discipline management.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

2 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the energy/nuclear sector.
Cable sizing and calculations
Equipment installation (switchboards, transformers)
Electrical network design
Earthing and protection systems
Strong ability to assess technical impacts and manage design changes in a complex environment.
Skilled at producing and reviewing technical documentation with clarity and precision.
Comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders in a highly regulated industry.
