Customer Parts Controller – On-Wing Aftermarket Operations Spares Support Group

Full-time | Mon-Fri | Days | Fixed-Term 22-months contract (FTC)

Location: Derby – Hybrid - 3 days a week on-site.

There is an exciting opportunity for a Customer Parts Controller to join the team reporting to the Customer Order Fulfilment Manager.

What you will be doing

The role will lead the delivery for all Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and critical material requirements across our customer network, working in a specialist, fast-paced customer-focused team and will be the primary point of contact for our MRO base customers to place, track and expedite material orders.

Working closely with the wider business to ensure that orders flow through smoothly and critical part requirements are documented, managed and satisfied quickly, to support our engines going through our MRO network.

Not only that, but this role also encompasses the breadth of supporting our Quality team within the Spares Support Group with quality notifications, parts returns & concerns driving root cause analysis as part of our drive to Zero Defects.

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact for MRO facility customers placing orders and wishing to request components from the available Rolls-Royce material network.

  • Process critical parts lists from the bases through our SAP systems interacting with the Value Streams, parts forecasters and logistic teams

  • Ownership of the Critical Parts process and supporting testing for process changes to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and supporting systems

  • Highlight any material shortfalls to the supply chain to resolve open customer orders

  • Support customer queries, including accounts received, invoices, data errors and resolve where required, arranging material returns where appropriate

  • Support customer complaints through the use of company standard systems, processes and reports.

  • Attend community of practice workshops to ensure process maintenance

  • Support MRO & Airlines customers at pace with quality notifications to prevent AOG/Build Stops whilst supporting the return & root cause analysis as applicable.

  • Direct and indirect customer relationship experience.

  • Experience of manufacturing or customer-facing businesses

  • An understanding of Planning & Control ERP process and systems, desired but not essential.
