An exciting opportunity has arisen to influence and shape the future of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) and Future Combat Air System Acquisition Programme (FCAS-AP). The role will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to develop valuable expertise in leadership and direction, while also an understanding of our customer. you will be at the forefront of an international future combat development programme.
The role is accountable for leading the business development of UK’s Future Combat Air System Acquisition programme, which hits at the heart of our Defence strategy. The combat market is evolving at pace and securing market share along with our partners in GCAP and FCAS is fundamental to the Defence combat strategy. You will have an opportunity to work closely with governments and other Defence companies from around the world to help define this programme.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing
Define and execute the campaign strategy that will secure growth
Develop local Future Programmes teams to deliver key artefacts and evidence to support MoD business cases
Lead multifunctional teams to develop competitive and world beating solutions
Accountable for delivering campaign to budget, schedule and requirements, securing follow on contracts and meeting customer and company requirement

Sound understanding of programme management techniques
Inherent business and commercial acumen
Experience in managing complex programmes and working together with customers and partners and with diverse cultures
This role will require you to hold a minimum Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Ideally, you will be willing to progress to a Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. To start, Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work
