Key Roles & Responsibilities

Lead robust software delivery on vehicle programs, including gateway sign-off and launch support.

Plan and execute ADAS software releases and build software packages (for development and service).

Support software reviews, release governance, and drive process improvements.

Conduct tests to verify root causes, confirm theories, and ensure issues are fixed right the first time.

Strong utilisation of JIRA system and secondary tools (e.g., Confluence) to improve issue handling, coordination, and validation efficiency.

Support the ADAS team on feature and performance validation.

Skills Required

Understanding of ADAS software architecture and module-level integration (ECUs, sensors, gateway interactions).

Strong stakeholder communication skills: ability to clearly articulate status, risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to engineering and program leadership.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence without authority and align teams toward common release and validation outcomes.

Preferred Skills

Track record of process improvement, such as:

Standardising release/validation steps

Reducing manual work

Introducing automation/templates

Improving defect handling throughput

Experience Required

Experience leading embedded automotive software delivery on vehicle programs.

Experience in launch support and program gateway/milestone sign-off activities.

Experience with Driver Assistance technologies and sensors, including:

Camera

Radar

Ultrasonics

Sensor fusion

Image processing

Preferred Experience

Experience with Ford diagnostic and software tools (Diagnostic Engineering Tool, IVS etc.).

Ability to interpret C/C++ or Java code for issue resolution.

Advanced proficiency in JIRA: workflows, dashboards, queries/filters, triage discipline, metrics.

Strong working knowledge of Confluence for documentation, release pages, validation evidence, and decision logs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in:

Engineering

Computer Science

Software Engineering

Information Systems

OR

5+ years of experience in product development or automotive engineering.
