Compensation: $150,000 β $210,000/year + Full Benefits + Bonus + Sign-On Bonus

Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our leading acute care facility in San Francisco. This role involves performing complex diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals for both inpatient and outpatient populations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in advanced nuclear medicine techniques, radiation safety, and quality control, and will actively support clinical and operational excellence within the department.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Perform a wide range of routine and advanced nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and safety guidelines.
- Handle radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration; collect and analyze biologic specimens.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols.
- Monitor and document equipment performance and participate in quality control and assurance activities.
- Safely support procedures involving anesthesia and collaborate with other departments (e.g., Cardiology, Radiology, Surgery).
Leadership & Advanced Practice
- Serve in a lead technologist or coordinator capacity as needed.
- Instruct and mentor junior technologists, students, residents, and faculty in specialized nuclear medicine procedures.
- Actively contribute to the development, implementation, and refinement of clinical protocols.
- Participate in performance improvement projects, quality assurance, and radiation safety committee meetings.
- Engage in research protocols and support the implementation of new technologies or techniques
QualificationsRequired Certifications
- CTNM certification from either NMTCB or ARRT (N)
- California State License β Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine (CA Dept. of Public Health)
- BLS (CPR) certification β current and active
Education & Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Minimum 3 years of experience in nuclear medicine (Senior Technologist level)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in nuclear medicine (Principal Technologist level)
Additional Requirements
- Proven ability to perform and teach two or more specialty procedures (Senior)
- Proven ability to perform and teach three or more specialty procedures (Principal)
- Flexibility to rotate across locations and shifts, including weekend coverage as needed
