SCADA System Maintenance Technician, III / Senior | Information Technology
Do you take pride in keeping critical systems running flawlessly? As a SCADA System Maintenance Technician (III / Senior), you’ll play a key role in monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing APS’s SCADA Network—the technology backbone that enables safe, reliable energy delivery across Arizona.

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications:
1) Under limited supervision, perform construction, maintenance and repair work on SCADA systems and subsystems
2) Resolve failures and impairments in a timely, effective and efficient manner
3) Review engineering design to ensure compliance with internal and external design standards.
4) Perform routine equipment maintenance and perform emergency repairs as needed or directed.
5) Installs new equipment, participates in shakedown testing, alignment, placing equipment into service, providing written and verbal reports, updating technical drawings, meeting in-service schedules
6) Responsible for researching and documenting various mitigation strategies, Knowledgebase (KBs), and must maintain current and thorough knowledge of Infrastructure, applications and business technologies and their significance to the utility operational environments
7) May also perform advanced system administration tasks such as substation checkout, system troubleshooting and repair and oversee/coordinate third party leased services
8) Track and report progress on assignments. Provide information and/or produce reports to assist with project construction estimates, as well as damage assessment reports, repair actions and implementation results
9) Provide assistance to engineering personnel and manufacturer representatives in the evaluation and testing of new equipment, including the development/implementation of test procedures and/or the design and construction of specialized configurations
10) Produce reports and technical drawings for system documentation and maintain required recordkeeping.
11) Maintain full compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety policies, procedures and standards and perform all work in a safe manner

Home Based: Home based employees primarily work from their home offices and come into an APS facility on an as-needed basis.
*Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners-based employees).
