Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for the Pump Engineer position in its Systems Engineering department with the Company’s Corporate Engineering division located at the Company's KPS Technology Campus in Camden, NJ. This department is the company's center of excellence in the field of system engineering, supporting a number of Holtec subsidiaries including SMR, LLC, which is engaged in designing Holtec’s flagship small nuclear reactor. Pipe-Flo, HTRI, MathCad are amongst the most widely used codes in this department. Pump Engineers are engaged in the development of requirements and specifications for a variety of pumps for various systems in nuclear power plants.  If assigned to work in the SMR-300 program, the associate will support engineering and licensing requirements, leading to the licensing and construction of the first SMR-300 plant.  Similar positions are also open at the Company’s positions are open in North Pittsburgh, PA, Covert, MI and Buchanan, NY locations. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in an engineering discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of pump design, operation, maintenance, and testing considerations/procedures.
  • Experience in developing and/or reviewing pump procurement specifications for nuclear power plants.
  • Familiarity with pump maintenance impacts on power plant outages.
  • Excellent technical writing, interpersonal and effective communication skills.

Desirable Additional QualificationsMasters degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline; experience working with engineers and vendors/manufacturers to develop designs and drawings; experience working in the nuclear energy field; EIT and/or PE certification. 

Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
