This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Manager, NSSS Component Engineer in the United States.

As the Manager of NSSS Component Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for designing and analyzing nuclear steam supply system components. You will ensure technical excellence, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with project objectives. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and project management in a high-stakes engineering environment, providing opportunities to mentor engineers, shape design practices, and influence the development of critical nuclear systems. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, manages complex projects effectively, and drives solutions that meet rigorous safety and quality standards.

Accountabilities

·        Lead and mentor a team of engineers focused on the design or analysis of reactor pressure vessels, containment vessels, reactor internals, and primary NSSS supports.

·        Conduct peer reviews and technical audits to ensure adherence to design requirements and standards.

·        Prepare and review engineering specifications, drawings, reports, and documentation.

·        Provide technical guidance to internal projects and clients, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

·        Develop and update technical standards, statements of work, estimates, schedules, and forecasts.

·        Perform administrative and managerial functions including performance evaluations, coaching, and resource management.

·        Coordinate cross-functional projects and interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

·        Develop team members’ capabilities through training, mentorship, and professional growth initiatives.

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Professional Engineer (PE) license and advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

·        Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible engineering experience; managerial or lead experience preferred.

·        Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III, including design specifications, tolerance stack-ups, and calculations.

·        Experience with analysis tools such as ANSYS, finite element analysis, or equivalent nuclear component analysis software.

·        Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate design interfaces for timely, high-quality solutions.

·        Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

·        Strong organizational and project management abilities to handle complex projects with multiple phases.

·        Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

·        Competitive base salary: $150,537 - $181,683 (full range $134,964 - $211,098), based on experience and qualifications.
