About the role

As Business Development Engineer, you will play a central role in driving Bumax’s continued growth in Turkey by driving industrial sales, managing distributors, and securing product specifications in high-performance sectors. This is a hands-on role combining technical credibility, commercial execution, and international collaboration.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Drive business development, customer engagement, and technical specification work
  • Own the entire sales cycle: from prospecting to distributor management and OEM integration
  • Integrate Bumax products into critical industrial applications across high-spec sectors
  • Drive specification work by securing Bumax products in technical documentation and project designs
  • Balance strategic market development with hands-on technical and commercial execution
  • Collaborate with global teams.

 

About you

We are looking for a technically driven business development professional with a strong commercial mindset and experience in high-specification industries such as defence, aerospace, or energy. 

You thrive in technical environments and enjoy collaborating with engineers and R&D teams to develop smart, tailored solutions. With a natural ability to translate complex requirements into clear product specifications, you bring both structure and creativity to your work. You’re motivated by goals, fluent in English, and comfortable navigating both strategic discussions and hands-on execution. If you have experience or a strong network within the Turkish defence industry, that’s a valuable bonus. Based in Ankara, you’re open to regular travel across Turkey and occasional trips to Europe.

Good to know

You will be part of a global business development team and report directly to Tibor Prezenszki, Business Development Manager for Eastern Europe. You will also maintain a dotted-line reporting to the Managing Director of Bufab Turkey to ensure strong local coordination and execution. The position is based at Bufab Turkey’s office in either Ankara or Istanbul, depending on candidate preference. The role includes approximately 50% travel across Turkey to support customer engagement.
