Job Description

**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Building Information Models (BIM) for plumbing and firefighting systems throughout all project phases
  • Perform clash detection and coordinate with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) teams to resolve conflicts between building systems
  • Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for plumbing and firefighting installations
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure BIM model accuracy and compliance with project requirements
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of BIM models to verify adherence to industry standards and project specifications
  • Manage BIM data, libraries, and standards to maintain consistency across all project deliverables
  • Provide technical support and training to project team members on BIM processes and software utilization
  • Ensure all plumbing and firefighting system models comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Coordinate model updates and revisions based on design changes and client feedback
  • Prepare BIM reports and presentations for project stakeholders and management reviews

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years of professional experience in BIM modeling and coordination
  • Advanced proficiency with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent platforms
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing and firefighting systems design, installation, and maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination and clash detection
  • Thorough understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent technical drawing, documentation, and specification writing skills
  • Proficiency in creating detailed 3D models and generating construction documentation

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Certified BIM Professional (CBP) or equivalent industry certification
  • Specialized experience with Revit MEP or similar advanced BIM tools
  • Knowledge of fire protection system standards and NFPA codes
  • Experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projects
  • Familiarity with project management software and collaborative workflows
  • Strong presentation and communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team coordination
  • Experience with BIM standards, protocols, and quality assurance processes
