Job Title: Technical Lead – Systems Engineering, FLRAA (Future Long Range Attack Aircraft)

Working Pattern: Full time

Working location: Indianapolis, IN/Hybrid - 3 Office Days/Week)

As the Technical Lead – Systems Engineering, FLRAA (Future Long Range Attack Aircraft) you will lead an extended, multi-functional engineering team focused on Systems Engineering, Whole Engine Modelling (physical and functional), and system safety. You will capture, assess, and manage system requirements and verification for the AE 1107F product. You also will ensure
project risks are identified and managed.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee and manage an integrated project team of engineers with cross-functional skills to ensure program objectives/deliverables are met including accountability for Schedule, Cost, and Quality.
  • Define/Manage the necessary resources required to achieve stakeholder requirements including setting individual objectives and performance reviews for assigned personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience working with peers and leaders to come to the best solution for the business.
  • Define, agree and integrate the plan for the team, considering both the scope of the overall technical projects / work packages and associated activities required to understand and then produce a solution to the requirements.
  • Ensure project risks (technical, cost, supply chain and timescale) are identified, managed (including integration of risk activities in the project plan), and escalated in accordance with the risk management plan.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience, OR
  • Master’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience, OR
  • JD/PhD in Engineering
  • To be considered for this role, you must be a US Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience leading an Engineering team to execute program objectives.
  • Project/Function Management Engineering Experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment; willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative; and drive to finish assigned tasks on schedule and in line with cost/budget targets.
  • Engineering and technical competence, sufficient to enable decision making commensurate with size of package
  • Experience applying a Systems approach or equivalent (Robust Design, Black belt, etc.)
