Role summary:
This role will primarily perform the order processing, starting from creating Bill of Material (BOM) for each order/creating new design drawings and managing support from Supply Chain to Operations through to the shipment for the pumps to nuclear markets.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Evaluate and validate pump designs for nuclear applications (e.g., primary cooling, feedwater, auxiliary systems)
- Interpret and apply *ASME Section III*, *NB, NCD&NF*, and related nuclear standards
- Prepare and maintain design documentation in accordance with nuclear quality assurance programs
- Review and interpret associated design specifications for each project.
- Select materials and components based on project specifications and compatibility.
- Creation of the manufacturing documents required for the customer order, including accessories: bills of materials, drawings, instructions, including export controls.
- Confirm overall design for functional feasibility with Product Engineering and Project Management
- Collaborate with QA, procurement, and regulatory teams to ensure nuclear safety compliance
- Develop and prepare drawings, plans, P&ID’s, layouts and BOM from engineering specifications.
- Drive, control, and take ownership of engineering activities
- Collaborate with BU’s and GTEC Engineers to improve Customer Satisfaction and Employee Engagement.
- Have strong collaboration with the project team
- Reviews of new standards and identifies gaps
- Provides support to sales, commercial operation & customers to develop the work scope required in solving equipment problems through pump/system/operations modifications & upgrades via technical/commercial proposals.
- Lead cooperation with the Engineering Services Team, Product & Engineering Specialists, Product Management & corporate technology to provide “as needed” solutions to complicated pump problems.
- Recommend design engineering procedure changes and improvements.
Preferred Experience /Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 6–8 years of experience in pump engineering, with at least 2–3 years in nuclear applications
- Strong knowledge of ASME B&PV Code, Section III, (e.g., NB, NCD, NF)
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
- Proficiency in engineering & design software, (preferably SolidWorks, Windchill PLM)
- Applied experience in 2D drafting standards and techniques including GD&T.
- Good planning, time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of internal and international practices & standard
- Working knowledge of ERP and PLM (preferred oracle and Windchill).
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 is a plus
