Contract - Nuclear Engineers

Project length: ~3–4 weeks

About the project

Fixpoint is hiring Nuclear Engineers for a research project at a leading AI company. You will use your expertise to explain the challenges and skillsets of your job, explain what excellence looks like in your profession, and design questions related to your occupation as a Nuclear Engineers.

You're a good fit if you have experience with:

• Design or develop nuclear equipment, such as reactor cores, radiation shielding, or associated instrumentation or control mechanisms.
• Monitor nuclear facility operations to identify any design, construction, or operation practices that violate safety regulations and laws or could jeopardize safe operations.
• Initiate corrective actions or order plant shutdowns in emergency situations.
• Examine accidents to obtain data for use in design of preventive measures.
• Direct operating or maintenance activities of nuclear power plants to ensure efficiency and conformity to safety standards.

or have similar experience.

Must-have qualifications

• Have 5+ years full-time work experience in Utilities.
• Native-level English skills
• U.S. residency
• Access to a laptop or desktop computer and reliable internet.
• Availability for at least 10 hours per week during the 3- to 4-week engagement (work is fully asynchronous and on your own schedule).

Compensation & logistics

• Hourly pay: $85 – $180 commensurate with experience and project fit.
• Hourly rate may be higher for exception candidates
• Paid weekly via Fixpoint, based on approved hours.
• You will be classified as 1099 independent-contractor status; engagement is at-will.
• Entirely remote; work whenever you like as long as deadlines are met.
